What’s Going on at Craftopia?
Hello My Darlings!
How are you all?
We’ve had a touch of Spring here in Ingleton over the past few days. Daffodils and snowdrops popping up all over the place and even some sunshine. It couldn’t be more beautiful.
Julie and I have been kept busy over the past few weeks, as we’ve had lots of new shelving put in at the workshop end of the shop. This has given us much more room to manoeuvre there and it looks fabulous! We also had a wall of peg rails put in so that we now have a Wall of Yarn! Heaven! I think you’ll love it!
Well obviously our website is up and running – what do you think?
Lovely Anna is back!
I’m delighted to tell you we’ve got 2 brilliant courses coming very soon: Learn to Knit and Learn to Crochet on 11th/12th April with fabulous Anna Nikipirowicz. She’s such a fantastic teacher…thorough, inspiring, kind and funny. And you’ll go home with a comprehensive set of notes to help you as you move on with your craft. I thank the universe every day that I learnt to knit and crochet. Both crafts have seen me through thick and thin!
Book your course with Anna here:
Adinda is coming to Craftopia!
How gorgeous does that little lot look? If you need some of that in your life, we still have 2 places left on our Adinda Zoutman – Stole and Bag workshop on July 12th but I don’t think they’ll be around for long…her Stole and Cushion workshop has already sold out.
Dear Little Purses from Dear Emma Designs
We also sold out very quickly on the Dear Emma Designs Lantern workshop so I’ve invited Cathy to do a second one with us. This time she’ll be teaching us how to make these cute little free motion embroidery Purses on Oct 10th. I can’t wait.
We believe in angels..
I’m so excited to tell you that Lucy Levenson is coming to teach us how to make her stunning Angels, on October 24th/25th…..in time for Christmas.
I’m lucky enough to have one of these angels and she makes my heart sing every day.
Don’t forget we’ve got our Knitathon on 23rd May in memory of my beautiful Jenny. All proceeds will go to the Brain Tumour Charity. All you need to do is download the sponsor form, get lots of sponsors and join us on the day with your 3.5mm/4mm hooks or needles. Stylecraft have very kindly sent us loads of yarn to work with! You can read more about it on our blog post here
If you can’t make it but would like to contribute, we’ve set up a Just Giving page instead.
Well that’s that for now – we ‘re really looking forward to seeing more of you over the next few weeks!
Loads of love,
Amanda and Julie
